2nd Clinical Neurosciences Summer Course

Dear colleagues, With great pleasure, we announce the

2nd Clinical Neurosciences Summer Course, which will be held in Samsun, Turkey, on 6-8 August.

After the successful organization of the 1st Clinical Neuroscience Summer course entitled “The principles and practice of DBS in Movement Disorders”, 1-3 July 2013 in Samsun, we were motivated to organize the second course. In this course, the focus will be on the latest developments in the eld of DBS.

The title of this course is Progress in Deep Brain Stimulation in Movement Disorders, Epilepsy, and Psychiatric Disorders.

This course is organized by members of the European Graduate School of Neuroscience (EURON), Mediterranean Neuroscience Society (MNS), Maastricht University Medical Center, and Ondokuz Mayis University of Samsun. It is a collaborative effort and members of these organizations will be involved in teaching during the course.

NMDPD 2016

11th International Congress on Non-Motor Dysfunctions in Parkinson's disease and Related Disorders

NMDPD 2016, is a multidisciplinary educational forum that offers unparalleled access to the latest discoveries and developments in the etiology and therapy of non-motor features in Parkinson’s and other Neurodegenerative diseases. NMDPD 2016 will be the center for deliberation on cognitive decline and psychiatric manifestations of brain diseases defined by movement disorders, as well as their other non-motor manifestations.

XVI Congress SINS - Call for Fellowships

The Italian Society for Neuroscience (SINS) will award 100 grants to pre-doctoral and post-doctoral SINS members to attend and present their data at the SINS Congress 2015 (

Fellowships will be awarded by the Board of the SINS based on a comparative evaluation of the CV applicants’ and their publications.

The amount of each fellowship will be € 500.The applicant should be:
- a pre-doctoral or post-doctoral member of the Italian Neuroscience Society (i.e. younger than 40 year old, without a permanent position)
- the first author of an abstract to be presented at the Congress
Applications should contain:
1. Personal data form (see below);
2. Copy of ID or passport;
3. CV including a list of publications;
3. Declaration of no permanent position by the Laboratory Head, which will also specify whether or not the candidate has a doctorate degree;
5. Copy of the abstract submitted to the SINS meeting.Applicants are eligible only if they are already SINS members or if they submit the SINS membership application form together with their fellowship application.
Applications should be in English.
